Donation Drive

Stage 1 - Commenced July 2011

In July 2011 we started fund raising for the Christian Senior High School in Kanjonga, Sumba stage 1. With thanks to God we managed to raise $118,000 for this stage! We are about to start a second round of fund raising. 

We are very pleased to be able to give you an update on stage 1 of the school building project.

Our brothers and sisters in Sumba have completed and have even exceeded  stage one of the building project. We are very thankful  that our Heavenly Father  has truly richly blessed this project.

With the money you have donated they have built or bought the following:

• A large set of teacher’s living rooms
• A motor bike
• A well with pump and tanks
• Electricity installed
• 6 Class rooms
• 2 Storage area’s and offices
• 2 Boarding homes
• 2 wash rooms / toilets areas
• 1 large kitchen (This is a very basic kitchen and needs improvement later on in stage 4 of the building project)
• 4 Boarding homes (These are very basic rooms and needs improvement later on in stage 4 of the building project)
• Food Store room (This is a very basic store room and needs improvement later on in stage 4 of the building project)
• They have passed government accreditation level 1 and 2.

Stage 2 & 3 - Commenced July 2013

The cost for stage 2 is $105,000 and for stage 3 it is $23,000

The buildings and items that need to be constructed and bought in Stage 2 & 3 are:

Stage 2

• School Bus - $15,000
• Medical Room - $12,500
• 1 library - $10,000
• 1 computer lab -$10,000
• Permanent Kitchen - $6,000
• Permanent Laundry Area - $5,000
• Installation of piped water system - $4,000
• 4 Class Rooms - $30,000
• General Offices - $12,500

                   

Stage 3

• Large Covered area for eating, assemblies, sport etc. -  $13,000.00
• Private teacher Accommodation (incl. toilets/wash rooms) - $10,000.00
